Dear ladies and gentlemen around the globe,
Welcome to We Sherpa

The foundation of We Sherpas is built on a simple yet urgent mission: to preserve the rich treasure trove of Sherpa language and culture before it is lost to the passage of time. The WeSherpas website is our humble attempt to safeguard our heritage and create a window for the world to understand and appreciate the true spirit of the Sherpa People. The urgency of this mission cannot be overstated, and your support is crucial in this race against time.

Right now, this project is in its initial, formative phase. The path ahead requires rigorous work, but we are driven by the belief that it is still not too late to act.

This is why we need you. We invite all community members, scholars, and friends to join us in this important endeavour, sharing our passion. Your contributions, whether they be historical information, linguistic information, photographs, videos, interviews, or financial support, are not just appreciated; they are the very pillars upon which we will build this rich treasure trove. You are not just supporters, but integral members of this mission, and it is necessary for you to be.

Your involvement is key in transforming We Sherpa into a vital and permanent reservoir of knowledge for generations to come. We urge you to join us in this transformative journey. Please, lend a hand……

With gratitude,

Founder: Ngima Dendi Sherpa
