I am acknowledged to all the Well Wishers who helped to bring the sacred objective of this website in this form.

This website is the sad outcome when my own wife, son and daughter left to speak Sherpa language. Then I hypothesized this website. It is good to understand, know, speak and expertise in other’s language but it is never good doing that forgetting one’s own language. As you are son and daughter of some one, in this context I request all the young people to understand this spirit as your own nation, community, father and mother.

Probably this website represents the aspirations and struggles of the people family and community who live in abroad honorably by doing different professions, leaving their motherland and community. In this awesome 21st century, it is not that we do not have facility of pens and papers, school at our door and facility to study various languages as compared to earlier time. But amid modernization and facilities of various kinds, it feels very sad to transform our language orally from one generation to next. This is the story of a community, which has fame nationally and internationally.

Sherpas are such community of Nepal who has very close relation in the identity of this nation. If any person says he is Nepali going in abroad country the people of that country will ask if the person is Sherpa. Probably due to our own communal behavior, culture, and religion, communities and castes love us and accept us positively. But to find Sherpa community in such deteriorating condition who deserve to get right of getting political, educational and language right, it is the failure of nation and policy makers.

But I pride with my community, which helps to get love and affection stated above and helps to get connected with other community inside Nepal and outside Nepal for their warm love and good will. Therefore, I would like to thank all the international community and all ethnic groups within Nepal, for your warm love and goodwill towards the Sherpas.

In the contemporary time, people, who are residing inside and outside the nation with struggle and comfort, have not become able to transfer mother tongue though they have given good education and facilities to their off spring. Even people who are living in the motherland and our own society, it is found that they have not given appropriate value to one’s mother tongue.

Thus this website is dedicated to all who have such regret. I believe this website will be beneficial to all who have great will and attraction to learn Sherpa language but do not have any medium to learn and understand Sherpa language. I hope and request invaluable suggestion of all in the wider development of this site. Suggestion can be given at wesherpas@gmail.com

In this praxis, due to ratio of population in schools, it is difficult to take initiative to make Sherpa language compulsory subject. I heartily request political representative, administrative officers, teachers, lama priests, intellectuals, youngster and parents to include Sherpa language compulsorily in schools where there is appropriate population and density.

At last I have given all responsibility of this serious task to my brother Dorjelopen Jigdrel Jangpo Sherpa and I am satisfied till date with his performance. There is no doubt that this website will be beneficial to all the Sherpas and the people who want to learn on the subject of Sherpa. I will not spare any thing in my life to contribute from my side.
